SALES ENGINEER / BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

A recognised leader in their field, this global manufacturer of industrial specialties has a start-up role for an experienced Sales Engineer to develop business throughout Australia & New Zealand. The product range is well established in Australia and enjoys a premium brand position.                                                                                    

Reporting to the Regional Director overseas, your focus will be on new business development, providing value-add product solutions to the oil & gas, project engineering and mechanical & electrical consultancy sectors.

 

The ideal person for this new role would have:

 

- an industrial sales background

- strong technical sales skills.

- tertiary Engineering or Business qualifications.

- an established network of contacts in industries such as oil & gas, marine & offshore, contractor and/or project Engineering.

- ability to develop a strategic overview of opportunities.

- tenacity to work through tactical plans to completion.

- excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

- proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- ability to work both independently and as a key member of a broader regional team.

- availability for regular domestic and international business travel.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultative Sales Engineer to make their mark and be rewarded. As a guide, commencing salary package will be around $100k, and will include performance bonus. The role could be based either in Sydney or Melbourne.
