A leading international manufacturer of surface coatings for the printing & packaging industry has a position available for a Production Manager with chemicals industry experience.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the focus of your role will be to plan, lead. organize and control production operations at the company's manufacturing site in South East Melbourne.

The person we seek will ideally have:

• - 8 to10 years' production management experience in the chemicals industry, ideally including batch processing of surface coatings such as paints, inks or specialty chemicals.
• - relevant tertiary qualifications.
• - strong leadership, people and mentoring skills.
• - strong SHE and quality awareness.
• - ability to manage short lead-time production to meet customer expectations.
• - familiarity with MRP systems.
• - exposure to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing & KPI controls.
• An established international manufacturer, this company offers a strong base for further career growth. An attractive salary package is negotiable in line with qualifications and experience.
