Water-Based Lubricants - Industrial
Part of a global specialty chemicals group, this Sydney based company has a position available for a commercially minded Senior Chemist with interest & experience in development of special purpose fluids and additives for use in mining, metal processing, construction and hydraulics.
Located at Sydney head office, you will be part of a small business unit with a focus on development of high performance products, in liaison with the group's overseas R&D centres. The key to success will be your ability to select products which add value to client process, raise productivity and reduce equipment downtime.
The person we seek would have an applications based product development background, supported by tertiary Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering qualifications. To be considered for this position, your knowledge base must include water based lubricants for metal working and steel rolling, and ideally the formulation of hydraulic fluids. You will have a hands-on style, a flair for problem solving and ability to deliver high value technical solutions to your customers. This is a national role, and applicants should be available for occasional travel both interstate and overseas. Salary package is openly negotiable to attract the best available candidate, and will include a car or car allowance.
